I strive to make cool, in-depth reporting projects. My books include Palestine Speaks: Narratives of Life Under Occupation, and the forthcoming Six By Ten: Stories from Solitary Confinement. My video work includes this piece from a former undercover CIA officer, as well as hosted pieces dealing with homelessness and prisons.

I volunteer as a journalism instructor at San Quentin State Prison. Previously I earned journalism degrees from the UC-Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism and CU-Boulder. My work has appeared in The Best American Nonrequired Reading, Pacific StandardLucky PeachMcSweeney's, Atlas Obscura, Guernica, and AJ+, among other places. Links are on my video and online writing pages.

I'm into collaborating with talented people and making things that make you think. If you want to work together, hit me up here.
