I strive to make cool, in-depth journalism projects. My books include Palestine Speaks: Narratives of Life Under Occupation, and a forthcoming book about Solitary Confinement in the U.S. My video work includes this piece from a former undercover CIA officer, as well as hosted pieces dealing with homelessness and prisons.

I earned journalism degrees from the UC-Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism and CU-Boulder. My work has appeared in The Best American Nonrequired Reading, Pacific Standard, Lucky PeachMcSweeney's, Guernica, and AJ+, among other places. Links to my work are on my video and online writing pages.

I'm into collaborating with talented people and making things that make you think. If you have ideas or want to work together,  hit me up here and on Twitter
