Artists in Focus, Ep. 1: Mike Lynch, Founder of San Diego's Imperfects
San Diego Magazine is thrilled to premiere Artists In Focus, a new series created in partnership with our neighbors at Sony Electronics, whose North American HQ has called San Diego home since 1971. This series spotlights local creatives who bleed creativity, amplify culture, and inspire both locals and visitors alike. Our first episode features Mike Lynch, a San Diego local and surfboard shaper who’s been redefining the boundaries of surf and skate culture. A lifelong surfer, Mike grew curious about evolving the standard surfboard, and began experimenting with unconventional, asymmetrical shapes. Turns out, they're pretty fun to ride. That curiosity sparked his business, Imperfects.
